Over the last 18 months three Leicestershire artists have been meeting up at Launde, walking, talking and drawing together in the Abbey grounds and the woodland that surrounds it.They are delighted to be able to show some of their work around various sites at Launde Abbey during the 900 celebration.
Peter Clayton is a painter, Sarah Kirby a printmaker and Michelle Holmes works in textiles . . . they have all worked together on several projects over the last decade and have uncovered a shared sensibility and sense of enquiry about what they are inspired by, and how and why they make pictures.
During the summer celebrations at Launde there will be a variety of new work displayed in the reception area, Dairy café, Dining Room, Chapel and Drawing Room.
All the work is for sale.
The house will be closed to the public for Ordination retreats from 26 – 29 June, and from 11-14 July inclusive.
Some rooms may be closed for short periods of time during the exhibition period. Please make contact in advance if you can only visit once!
