I am a printmaker and ceramicist, exhibiting my work, undertaking commissions and conducting workshops.
As a printmaker, I make one-off screen-prints combining hand-made stencils with layers of text and photographic images. Much of my work concerns cultural identity and collective memories. Recently, I have become involved in art-science collaborations creating abstract images based on magnified human cells.
In ceramics, I make one-off functional/ornamental vessels. Some are decorated with imagery hand-screen-printed directly on the clay; others are wheel- and slab-made, with personalised inscriptions to order.
I lead pottery workshops for all ages, especially for children and the elderly. I lead printmaking workshops (mono, screen, relief and intaglio) for all ages and the disabled in schools, universities, hospitals and galleries in the UK and abroad.
