My work current work follows a number of themes: the fells and forests of Cumbria, the beaches and boatyards of Norfolk and my family tree. I use a variety of styles and media including oils, watercolour, printmaking and photography.
Since graduating in 1981 I have taken part in over 150 group and solo shows around the country and have work in private and public collections worldwide. Recent group exhibitions have included Bircham Gallery, Holt and St. Jude’s Gallery, Itteringham.
Over the years I’ve enjoyed a number of residences (including Grizedale Forest, Cumbria and Buckinghamshire County Museum, Aylesbury), have won several awards and undertaken commissions (including ones for P&O and Pullmantur cruise liners).
I shall be Artist in Residence at Leicester Print Workshop between November 2010 and April 2011 and am working on a new series of garden and poetry inspired prints for my solo show at St Jude’s Gallery in July 2011.
