“My work is mostly figurative. I find the figure intriguing as a subject; very familiar, yet enormously complex. The human body is not only immensely symbolic, but acts as a wonderful vehicle of light. In fact, in my own work rather than commission I am relatively uninterested in the sitter's character; instead I am concerned with light and the depiction of the physicality of the body.”
